Getting Started with Kanban Swimlanes
The Flusss Kanban Swimlanes App connects multiple monday.com boards into a single unified view. Each swimlane represents one monday.com board with its own independent workflow.
Unlike other apps that merge all boards into a single, shared workflow, Kanban Swimlanes keeps the original structure of each monday.com board. This preserves valuable insights into how work moves through each swimlane.
In the video below, you can see how to configure the app step by step and how to connect different monday.com boards so that each one becomes its own swimlane.
Important considerations
To get the most out of the Kanban Swimlanes App, make sure each source board has a clear workflow with Status columns that represent the real stages of work. You can then group boards by department, product, or any other dimension that makes sense for your organization.
Recommendation:
For best performance, keep the view under 5 boards and around 500 total items (including subitems). Above this range, the view behaves more like a large backlog than an operational Kanban board. The app will show a warning recommending to reduce the numbers of item if that limit its reached.
